Since Grandpa was here all day on Easter, we took advantage of his babysitting offer and went out and did some shopping, sans-Aidan.
We picked up the big boy bed (more to follow on that!!!!), and ran to Kmart to pick up the cutest little Disney Cars Traffic Light for his new room. The only downside is that I thought we could use it as a nightlite for him, but alas, all the colors blink and flash.
Well, at least it's cute!
While we were at K-Mart we found ourselves in the toy aisle and found the cutest Radiator Springs toy garage playset to go with the set of cars that the Easter Bunny brought Aidan that morning. Not only was it clearance, but all the clearance toys were an extra 50% off.
Score!!
So we grabbed it as well as a cool Lightning McQueen radio controlled car, which we are gonna save for his 2nd birthday.
When we got home we got it all set up while he was sleeping and I got him out of his bed and told him the Easter Bunny had come again.
Boy was he excited!!
I also have this gem that Michele sent me of Aidan and "his" buses at her house. Apparently he loves them all!!
Aidan's new quirks include taking ppl by the hand and calling them to come, like a Doggy... Such as, "C'mon, Mommy, C'mon".
Last night he asked for something to which I replied "uuuum...no." So then he came right back with "uuuum...yes."
He also likes to pretend things he's eating such as crackers, are other things. He told me the other day while we were eating saltines that his saltine looked like a truck after he bit it, and that it had wheels. Quite the imagination in the making perhaps?
